We are a knowledgeable and nimble team delivering good engineering in a learning environment. We enjoy the design process, and exploring new materials and concepts. Through problem solving and ingenuity, we seek to achieve effective and elegant engineering solutions across all sectors and project sizes.
We are committed to dealing fairly with our clients and we expect clients to be fair to us. We show this commitment through our fees, programmes and communication of reasonable expectations throughout our projects.
We are committed to environmental sustainability and strive to consider the future of each of our designs and their impact on the planet. We endeavour to use materials efficiently and, therefore, to 'play to their strengths' by using most suitable materials for the engineering problem at hand.

Tara Fraser, Director
BEng (Hons), PgDip, CEng MICE, MIStructE
Tara is a Chartered Structural and Civil Engineer, who enjoys working with Architects and Contractors. She enjoys the challenge of creativity and practicality that we all try and balance out in the design of buildings.
Tara brings 25+ years of experience to Build Collective. The projects that Tara is most proud of include the refurbishment of St Pancras Station, the design of RUH Bath Mortuary and Histology Dept, the University of Bristol Life Sciences Building and working at Diamond Light Source.
Tara loves the challenge each project and client brings - be that existing buildings with issues or new builds with complex ground conditions.
Beth Williams, Associate
MEng (Hons), CEng MICE
Beth graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2011 having studied Structural Engineering and Architecture.
Beth has worked in architectural and engineering practices in Sheffield, Gloucestershire and now Bristol, working on projects ranging from domestic extensions to new build sports halls and high security NHS facilities. Now a Chartered Engineer, Beth specialises in timber engineering and low-energy construction.
Beth is a Certified PassivHaus Designer and Local Group Leader for the AECB, and is passionate about making low-energy building available to all.
Amaal Saadi, CAD Technician
BA (Hons), MA
Amaal joined Build Collective in 2022 with a background in architecture and interior design. She provides CAD and drawing support to the structures team, working on a range of projects throughout the country.
